The historical part of Rome takes
a wide space of the city. The Aurelian wall surrounds it
and that's there the most of the museums and monuments
can be found. This district is crowded any time of the
day, any time of the year. As in all the big cities there
are traffic jams in the heart of the city and parking places
are very hard to find.
Ancient Rome was the strongest power of its time. Now
the remains of its history became popular tourist places.
The Foro Romano (Roman Forum), once the political, commercial
and social center of Rome and impressive is the gigantic
oval Colosseo (Colosseum) (the scene of gladiatorial conquests)
embody the glory of the ancient Rome. |
